Project Title: Establishment of Nodal Center for Key Starting materials and intermediates
under Therapeutic Chemicals

Salary- Rs 31000 +HRA per month (as per rule)
Age Limit- Must not be over 35 years as on 10th November, 2026 which can be relaxed for

educational qualifications or experience may be considered in case of exceptionally
meritorious candidates.
Background of the project: The project intends to harness the potential of marine metabolites
for potential therapeutics as well as intend to undertake targeted biodiscovery of marine
microbes focusing on actinomycetes from biotopes representing coastal ocean of India. The
position will be initially for a period of one year.
The position will be extended for one more
year based on satisfactory performance of the candidate.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or Bachelor’s
degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or
equivalent.
Experience with conducting field sampling activities in coastal ocean biotopes or
biodiscovery of microbes such as from the mangroves would be welcome.

value-added products

in large coastal aquaculture ponds using integrative approaches and also explore the marine
