Our 5 day comprehensive " workshop on Bioinformatics and structural Biology "aims at providing systematic Hands-on-Training on using advanced Bioinformatics and Proteomics application/tools. This workshop had been conceptualized by eminent scientist having substantial experience in the field of structural Biology.

Salient features of the workshop:
     Workshop groups will study problems with hands-on examples using computational biology methods and discuss issues highlighted by examples and Case Studies presented by instructors. A Case Study set with a focus on biological databases, sequence analysis using Bioinformatics approaches, protein structure prediction, analysis and prediction of structural organization of protein, Homology Modeling Tools, Visualize protein structures, understanding concepts of molecular evolution, gene annotations tools ,concepts of SNPs and their significance etc

On completion of this workshop you will be expertise in:

• Understanding and exploring major protein and Nucleotide databases, search and retrieve data from the databases and literature Review using their respective search criteria’s
• Understanding the need and significance of sequence analysis using Bioinformatics approaches
• Acquiring knowledge of various algorithms, different skills & methods of structure prediction
• Understanding the levels of structural organization of protein and to know the approaches for structure analysis and prediction
• Exploring primary , Secondary and derived databases in the field of  Structural biology
• Be familiar in 3D Structure prediction of protein using Homology Modeling Tools
• Visualizing protein structures using various visualization tools
• Understanding concepts of molecular evolution and the nature of data for deriving Molecular phylogeny
• Using computational approaches for Phylogenetic analysis by exploring different packages
• Browse, navigate through and search genomic databases and to understand the process of gene annotations
• Understand the concepts of SNPs and their significance
• Understand the basis and nature of protein-protein interactions and related databases
