Institute of Life Sciences, Ahmedabad University, Gujarat invites application from exceptionally brilliant and self-motivated individuals at the level of Assistant Professor in Zoology and Botany:
Number of posts: 2 (Two)
Essential qualifications: Ph.D. in Botany/Zoology from a recognized University in India or abroad. Ideal candidate should have a good publication record in international peer reviewed journals and have teaching experience of 1–4 years.
Desired qualification: Candidates with experience in establishing research based teaching labs including plant tissue culture will be preferred.

The positions available are:
Project Assistant (PA) – Biochemistry/Chemistry:
Number of posts: 4 (Four);
Emolument: Rs 16,000–18,000 p.m. – Fixed (based on experience).
Essential qualifications: M.Sc. (Chemistry/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Life Sciences) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University in India or abroad. Preference will be given to NET/GATE qualified candidates and/or having 1–2 years of research experience.
Research Associate (RA) – Biochemistry/Materials Science/Chemistry:
Number of posts: 2 (Two),
Emolument: Rs 22,000–25,000 p.m. (based on experience);
Experience: 0–4 years.
Essential qualifications: Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Materials Science/Chemistry or a related field from a recognized University in India or abroad. Ideal candidate should have a good publication record in international peer reviewed journals.
Candidates with prior experience in following areas would be preferred: Bio-sensing applications, microfluidic platform based biomedical devices, functionalization of materials for life sciences applications, animal cell culture and toxicity/safety assessment.
The positions are temporary, initial appointment will be for one year, extended based on performance. Maximum age limit is 28 years for PA and 34 years for RA.
