CEFIPRA RESEARCH PROJECT

Applications are invited for the following post under the DST-CEFIPRA funded advanced collaborative research project titled “The Immuno-Psychiatry in South India Study (IPS): Immunogenetic and Immuno-phenotype Characterization of Major Psychoses”

Senior Research Fellow: No. of posts – 1

Duration: Time bound for a period of 1 year (likely to be extended beyond 1 year based on performance). The post is purely temporary in nature, co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility Criteria:

ESSENTIAL:

Educational Qualification: M. Sc. (Biotechnology/ Immunology/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics), M. Tech (Biotechnology/ Genetic Engineering)

Experience: Two years’ research experience in molecular biology/ immunology in an institution of national repute is essential.

Age Limit: The upper age limit is 32 years as on 30th September 2015

DESIRABLE: Candidates with experience in PCR, RT-PCR, cell culture, FACS, DNA sequencing, multiplexing and a strong background in biostatistics will be given preference.

Salary: Consolidated salary of Rs. 18,000/- + 20% HRA (likely to change subject to revision by CEFIPRA).

NOTE: The SRF is expected to coordinate work between the collaborating departments of Clinical Immunology and Psychiatry at JIPMER (Pondicherry) and CBST, VIT University (Vellore).
