Computational/System Biology GSBTM JRF/SRF Vacancy

For facilitating the development of biotechnology in the State, Government of Gujarat has constituted Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM), under the aegis of Department of Science and Technology. The State intends to promote biotechnology sector by building appropriate policy, promoting research, encouraging entrepreneurship, strengthening organizational infrastructure and forecasting business partnerships.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (One) and Senior Research Fellow (One) in a project entitled “Establishing a network in computational and system biology” at Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM), Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Fellowship: Rs. 12,000 + 20% HRA

Minimum qualification: M.Sc. /M.Tech. /B.E. /B.Tech. in Biotechnology /Bioinformatics /Life Sciences /Microbiology /Biochemistry /Genetics from recognized University.

Preference would be given to the candidates having NET/GATE.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Fellowship: Rs. 14,000 + 20% HRA

Minimum qualification: M.Sc. /M.Tech. /B.E. /B.Tech. in Biotechnology /Bioinformatics /Life Sciences /Microbiology /Biochemistry /Genetics from recognized University with minimum 2 years of research experience is essential in the field of molecular biology/computational biology/bioinformatics/system biology.

The revision of fellowships is subject to approval by Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat.
