AIM AND SCOPE
Attraction of talent amongst the students to study Science and pursue their career in research and fostering scientific temper among school students.
ABOUT PROGRAMME
NIT Rourkela has been assigned with the responsibility of leadingthe INSPIRE Science Camp from 16th to 20th December, 2013 by the INSPIRE, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The Science Camp is held to motivate and inspire the young minds to take up science as their career. The Science Camp will be addressed by top scientists of National and International repute including Bhatnagar Awardees and Padma Awardees. The students will be also exposed to hands-on experience in advanced laboratories.

ELIGIBILITY
Students of Class XI or XII and secured more than or equal to 81.3% in Odisha Board of Secondary Education and other equivalent Board of Odisha, CGPA-A1 in CBSE and 95% in ICSE in Class X are eligible to apply.
TRAVEL ALLOWANCE & LOCAL HOSPITALITY
The number of students is restricted to 350. All the selected students will be provided travel assistance through the shortest route by bus or train (sleeper class) and local hospitality (free fooding and lodging during the entire duration of the camp).
Separate hostels for boys and girls are available at NIT campus.
HOW TO APPLY
Interested eligible students should fill up the online application in http://www.online-inspire.gov.in/ website and submit the hard copy of the application.
