The Collège de France (Paris), the Service for Science & Technology of the French Embassy to India (SST, Delhi) and the Centre for Social Sciences & Humanities (CSH, Delhi) are organizing on 24th and 25th February 2016 in Bangalore, an Indo-French workshop in the framework of the Collège de France Lecture Series in India.

The Collège de France Lecture Series in India intends to spread scientific knowledge and culture, and to share views on activities from fundamental research to social sciences and humanities research in different fields of science. This Lecture Series falls within the long tradition of scientific collaboration between France and India, and aims to strengthen this collaboration by generating new projects and budding new research partnerships.

The central theme of the COLLÈGE DE FRANCE WORKSHOP IN INDIA will deal with INNOVATION in all its aspects – whether they be societal, cultural, political or scientific and technical. This multidisciplinary event will gather professors, scientists and researchers from both countries, and we hope many attendants from different backgrounds.

Professors Anne Cheng, Chair in Intellectual History of China at Collège de France, and Marc Fontecave, Chair in Chemistry of Biological Processes, will be directing this multidisciplinary workshop. Professors Gérard Berry, Roger Guesnerie and José-Alain Sahel will be the other participants from Collège de France to this event.
