About the Institution Agri Biotech Foundation (ABF) is one of the nongovernmental interdisciplinary research institutes recognized by Department of Science and Industrial Research, India. ABF works closely with India's premier research organizations like Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and also National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). It also has linkages with the international institutes like Centre for the Study of Sciences and Humanities of University of Bergen, etc. ABF focuses on agri technology development and technology transfer, public engagement on technology policy issues and HRD activities.
Aim and Scope:
This course mainly aims at stimulating interest in life sciences among the young students so that they are motivated to take this field as their career option in the future. This course will include limited lecture classes and wide exposure to research methodology and hands on experience in handling experimental material, instruments and methods. Each student will be given a project to work independently under the supervision of an ABF staff and will also be a member in a team activity.
Eligibility: Final year and pre-final year Undergraduate students specialized in Life sciences. (Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Botany/Zoology)
