A Walk-in-Interview will be held on March 02, 2016 at 11:30 A.M. in the Bioinformatics Centre, Bose Institute, P-1/12, C.I.T Scheme VII-M, Kolkata 700 054 for One (01) position of Research Associate / Senior Research Fellow (Extended) in the DBT sponsored project entitled, “Setting up of National Facility on Interactive Graphics Computer System (IGCS) for Biomolecular Modeling, Molecular Dynamics and Structures” running under the COE-Bioinformatics under the guidance of Prof. Pinakpani Chakrabarti, Bioinformatics Centre.

The position is tenable till March 31, 2017.

• Essential Qualification : Ph.D. degree in Biological or Chemical Sciences with in-depth understanding of protein structure and function. Experience on protein crystallization and various modeling softwares would be advantageous. Those who have submitted Ph.D. thesis can be considered as extended-SRF.

• Project details : The projects would involve cloning, expression, crystallization of Vibrio cholera toxin, Ace and modeling of its interactions with small molecules.

• Associateship / Fellowship : Rs. 22,000/- p.m. plus admissible HRA and Medical Benefit for RA and Rs. 20,000/- p.m. plus admissible H.R.A. and Medical Benefit for SRF(Extended).

• Age : Below 35 years for RA and below 33 years for SRF(Extended). (relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/Women candidates only as per rules)

Note : Revised fellowship may be given as per DBT guidelines on receipt of revised fellowship from DBT

Eligible and Interested candidates may appear before the Selection Committee with a typed application addressed to the Sr. Prof. & In-Charge, Registrar’s Office, Bose Institute, P-1/12 C.I.T. Scheme VII-M, Kankurgachi, Kolkata – 700054 along with Bio-data giving details of qualification i.e. examination passed, year, division, percentage of marks from Secondary onwards with attested copies of Certificates, Mark-sheets and testimonials. The Candidates should also bring original mark-sheets, certificates, testimonials, thesis and papers etc. at the time of Interview. No TA/DA is admissible for appearing at the Interview.
