Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Research Associate (RA) in the DBT Multi Institutional Project entitled "Towards identification, isolation and characterization of Exobasidium vexens strains and their pathogenic determinants/effectors, from blister blight infested tea-plantation of Assam and development of a future roadmap for effective management practices", under the supervision of Dr. Praveen Verma, Scientist, NIPGR.

Research Associate (RA-I) (one post):      Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms & as sanctioned in the project.

Qualification:            Candidates having Ph.D degree in any discipline of Life Sciences with excellent publication records are eligible to apply. Candidates having prior experience in plant/fungal genomics will be preferred.

The above position is completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of post shall be as per Govt. of India norms. Inviting applications for NIPGR Short-term Research Fellowship Programme

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up one position of Research Associate (RA) in the Institute with Dr. Praveen Verma, Scientist, NIPGR, in the scheme of "Short-Term Research Fellowship" programme. The position is completely on temporary basis with maximum duration of three years. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, which can be curtailed or extended based on the performance of the candidate and discretion of the Competent Authority. 
 
Qualification: Candidates having a Ph. D. in any discipline of Life Sciences with good publication record can apply. The candidates having prior work experience in next-generation sequencing and analysis, fungal genome and transcriptome sequencing will be preferred.

The Fellowship amount for the position will be given at par with the similar fellowships by DBT/DST. 
 
NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of post shall be as per Govt. of India norms.
