A Walk-in-interview will be held for the appointment of one Project Fellow in the DBT (Govt. of India) sponsored Project on 09/03/2016 (Wednesday) at 11:30 A.M. in the Department of Biological Sciences (Section Botany), Presidency University (Erstwhile Presidency College), 86/1, College Street, Kolkata-700073 under Dr. Malay Das (Principal Investigator), Department of Biological Sciences, Presidency University.

Project detail: Targeted identification and molecular characterization of important flowering gene homologs in a rarely flowering tree Bambusa tulda” (Total Duration- 3 years, depending on fund and satisfactory research progress)

Funding agency: Department of Biotechnology (DBT)

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany/Biotechnology/Genetics/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry with minimum 65% marks in B. Sc. and M.Sc. degree obtained from an UGC affiliated college or recognized University.

Desirable Qualification: NET qualified/considerable experience in plant molecular and developmental biology, bioinformatics and gene expression analyses.

Amount of Fellowship: NET qualified candidates: Rs. 25,000 plus HRA for the first two years and Rs. 28000 plus HRA for the third year. However Non-NET/GATE candidates can also apply who will be paid as per DBT, GOI rules.

Age limit: 28 years or below till the date application. Relaxation of 5 years is applicable to SC/ST/OBC, women and physically challenged candidates.

No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
