Applications on plain paper are invited for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for DST sponsored Research Project entitled “Biotechnological approaches for improving rice crop productivity for saline regions of Punjab”. The project is tenable for six months and further extension is contingent to the progress of the work and funds availability.
The application on plain paper giving detailed biodata along with attested copies of the testimonials should reach the undersigned by 26 th May, 2016 upto 5:00 pm.
Interview would be held on 27 th May, 2016 in the office of Coordinator, Biotechnology Branch, UIET, Sec. 25-B, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
No T.A. & D.A are permissible for appearing in the interview.
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Life sciences/Biotechnology with at least 55% marks. The candidate with M.Sc. (LS-NET) qualification or M. Tech (Biotechnology) will be paid Rs. 12000/p.m + HRA while candidate with JRF-NET will be paid Rs. 25000/p.m + HRA.
Desirable: A good hand in molecular biology and protein science is strictly recommended.
