Eligible candidates are invited to attend Walk in Interview to fill up the (purely) temporary post of Senior Research Fellow (One) under NASF Project entitled “Deciphering molecular mechanism of induction of biotic stress tolerance by Trichoderma spp. in castor (Ricinus communis L.) to be held on 13.07.2016 at 11.00 AM at ICAR – Indian Institute of Oilseeds Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. The tenure of the project is up to 31.03.2017.
The requirement and other terms and conditions for the Senior Research Fellow are as under :-
Nature of duties of Senior Research Fellow
The selected candidate shall be involved in setting up, monitoring recording observations of the experiments involving induced systemic resistance both in the lab and green house.
Also the work includes analysis of transcriptome, proteome and metabolome data.
Masters Degree in Plant Pathology/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/ Life Sciences with at least two years of research work experience in molecular biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics and microbiology techniques.
Candidate should possess 1st division or 60% marks since matriculation and must have cleared NET examination.
Working experience with Trichoderma spp., induced systemic resistance and working knowledge with bioinformatic tools, 2D electrophoresis, separation chemistry and qPCR. Rs.28,000/- plus HRA as admissible.
Terms and conditions:- 1. Place of posting is ICAR - IIOR,Hyderabad work place may be at any Research Farm of IIOR, Hyd. ( Rajendranagar /Narkhoda /ICRISAT) Hyderabad. 2. The above position is purely temporary upto 31.03.2017, which is likely to be extended till the end of the project based on satisfactory performance of the incumbent or until further orders whichever is earlier. There is no provision of re engagement after termination of the project. The selected candidate shall not claim for regular appointment at this institute as the fellowship is co-terminus with the project. 3. Maximum age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women, relaxation in upper age limit is permissible in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per Govt. of India Rules applicable to the external funded project. 4.. No TA/DA and official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the Walk in Interview. Selected candidates have to make their own arrangement to stay at the place of work. 5. Candidates are requested to carry all original relevant documents/ certificates along with a set of attested photocopies and duly filled in application form on the date of interview. 6. Report by 09.30 AM on the date of interview. 7. The decision of the Director, IIOR, Hyderabad and PI of the Project will be final and binding in all aspects. Note : If the number of candidates meeting the requirements exceeds 15, there will be a preliminary written examination for screening purpose and only the qualifying candidates will be considered for the interview.
