Advertisement For JRF & Other Project Staffs in MoEF&CC Funded Research Project (Walk-In-Interview)
Applications are invited for the following purely temporary positions (three years wef date of start of project) in the research project entitled “Spider diversity in the Eastern Ghats of Odisha” sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Government of India, New Delhi.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 1 position
Age: Not more than 28 years as on 16.06.2016
Pay Scale: NET Qualified-Rs 25,000 p.m. plus HRA as applicable (for first two years), Rs 28,000 p.m. plus HRA as applicable (for third year); Non-NET qualified candidates can also apply, but their appointment and emoluments will be as per rules of the funding agency.
Qualification: Master’s in Animal Sciences/Zoology/Ecology/Wildlife/ Biodiversity & Conservation/Any other branch of Life Sciences with a minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH). NET qualified candidates will be given preference. The candidate will be encouraged to carry out Ph.d. on spiders as per GGSIP University rules.
Desirable: Persons who are highly motivated towards extensive field survey and stay in remote areas in Eastern India, Knowledge of Taxonomy/Field Ecology/GIS/statistics.
Project Assistant: 1 position
Age: Not more than 35 years as on 16.06.2016
Pay Scale: Rs 25,000 p.m. fixed for three years.
Qualification: Master’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH) and minimum 2 yrs experience in environmental projects/research work after masters.
Desirable: Experience in field work/project coordination/management with proficiency in computer applications and data handling, Knowledge of Wildlife Photography and Photoshop/Statistics/GIS.
Field Assistant: 1 position
Pay Scale: Rs 10,000 p.m. fixed for three years.
Qualification: Matriculation with at least two years experience as field attendant/assistant; or 12 pass.
Desirable: Persons having knowledge of local language and willing to do extensive field survey and stay in remote areas in Eastern India.
Lab Assistant: 1 position
Pay Scale: Rs 10,000 p.m. fixed for three years.
Qualification: 12 pass or above
Desirable: Persons having experience of field as well as lab tools and techniques for biological sample collection and preservation.
