1. Scientist 'B' (14 posts: 04 for SC, 02 for ST, 04 for OBC and 04 Unreserved)
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 + GP Rs. 5400/-.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience: M.Sc. or recognized equivalent qualification with a first division in Geology/Earth Sciences or Botany/Biosciences/Life Sciences or an allied discipline with 3 years research experience in a palaeoscience discipline. OR
Ph.D. in relevant discipline.
2. Scientist 'B' (01 post for Physically Handicapped with orthopedic disability)
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 + GP Rs. 5400/-.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience: M.Sc. or recognized equivalent qualification with a first division in Geology/Earth Sciences or Botany/Biosciences/Life Sciences or an allied discipline with 3 years research experience in a palaeoscience discipline. OR
PhD in relevant discipline.
3. Scientist 'C' (03 Posts, Unreserved)
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 + GP Rs. 6600/-.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience: M.Sc. or recognized equivalent qualification with a first division in Geology/Earth Sciences or Botany/Biosciences/Life Sciences or an allied discipline with 7 years research experience in a relevant palaeoscience discipline. OR
Ph.D. with 4 years post-doctoral research experience in relevant discipline.
Desirable experience: Research work, evidenced by publications in reputed journals, in Geochemistry/Geochronology/Sedimentology/Stratigraphy/Palaeobotany/Palynology/ Palaeontology/Molecular Palaeontology or any other discipline relevant to the Institute’s current requirements.
In addition, the candidate should have a consistently good academic record.
