Advertisement for Project Assistant/JRF position in DBT sponsored project
Name of the post: Project Assistant/Junior research fellow (JRF)
Nature of post: The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of two years. The position is co-terminus with the project.
Emoluments: Rs. 12000+ 10% HRA (project assistant) or Rs 25000/- + 10 % HRA (JRF)
Eligibility: MSc in life sciences or allied subjects, with NET/GATE qualification. A NET/GATE is mandatory for JRF but not required for project assistant.
Age limit: The upper age limit will be 28 years as on the last date of application. Age relaxation will be given as per GOI rules.
Work Experience: Basic knowledge of biology and cell signaling will be preferred. Candidates having hands on experience with cell culture, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry and cloning will be preferred.
Selection process: Initial screening will be based on eligibility, merit and other relevant skills.
Candidates with NET/GATE qualification will be preferred. After the screening, shortlisted candidates will be called for interview in person along with the original certificates.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Interviews will be held in last week of august 2016.
