National Workshop cum Hands on Training on

"DNA barcoding - Molecular analysis & Bioinformatics approaches”

Department of Biotechnology, Islamiah College (Autonomous) is organizing a National level Workshop cum Hands on Training on "DNA barcoding - Molecular analysis & Bioinformatics approaches”. The programme aims at providing systematic Hands-on-Training on DNA barcoding and molecular taxonomy including Extraction of whole genomic DNA, Quantification of DNA using UV Spec, Amplification of Barcode region in PCR, Electrophoresis of PCR products, COI mtDNA sequence processing and analysis, Submission of barcode sequence and Phylogenetic analysis (MEGA 6).

Duration:  07^th to 10^th September, 2016.

Number of participants – Workshop: No limit; Hands-on Training: 30

Who can apply: Graduate/ post-graduate students, research scholars, professionals, faculties from Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, and other life science personals from Industries and Institutions will benefit the most from getting hands-on experience.
