XXX Winter School on ‘Advances in Molecular Diagnostic Techniques: Biochemistry and Immunology’

Date: 5–17 December 2016

UGC-Networking Resource Centre for Biological Sciences, MKU invites applications from young faculty members/scientists and Ph.D. students working in the universities, research departments of colleges and research institutes.

Winter School is aimed to provide hands on training on experimental methods such as RFLP, Multiplex PCR, Western Blot, Quantification of Cardiac Markers, Primer Designing, cDNA Construction, RT-PCR, Restriction Mapping (Prof. G. S. Selvam, Dept of Biochemistry), Animal and Human Bleeding Techniques, Immunization Protocols, Antigen–Antibody Interactions using Gel based Assays, T and B Cell Separation, NIH Two-stage Lymphocytotoxcity Testing, Functional Assays for T cells, Serum Immunoelectrophoresis, Cytokine PCR Assays, HLA-DRB1* and HLA-B27 allele typing in health and disease (Dr K. Balakrishnan, Dept of Immunology).

It also covers the Principles of molecular biology, Instrumentation and applications of molecular diagnostics. The detailed instruction and application form can be downloaded from www.nrcbsmku.org
