Project entitled “Characterization of regeneration permissive environment created after spinal cord injury in zebrafish

Essential qualification: Ph.D Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology or any other relevant discipline.

The candidate is expected to develop and implement methods like establishing different injury model (dissection skill), histological and immunohistochemical analysis, confocal imaging, TEM, microinjection and general molecular biology techniques with emphasis to RNA work.

Past experience on Zebrafish Genetics / Biology would be of added advantage.

Essential Skill: Candidates should be capable of maintenance of Zebrafish colonies. The prospective candidate will also have the opportunity to be associated with gene function analysis of the ongoing project. The successful candidate should be highly self-motivated, energetic, work efficiently and have a keen interest in Developmental biology / Neurobiology.
