Admission for Research Scholars Program –NIAB II-2016 (RSP-NIAB II 2016)

The National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad, is a premier institute funded by Department of Biotechnology (DBT). We wish to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and take up research in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity.
The current research themes include: Host-Pathogen interaction in Infectious and nonInfectious Livestock diseases, Animal Genetics and Genomics, Reproductive biology and Nutrition, Generation of Transgenic animals and Bioinformatics. (The details are listed on our website www.niab.org.in)
We invite applications from highly motivated candidates having national fellowships and who are willing to take up challenges in modern biology, for admissions to our Research Scholars program (RSP-NIAB II-2016).
Those admitted as Research Scholars would be encouraged to apply for the PhD program of NIAB after completion of course work.
Eligibility: Academic qualifications required for admission to the RSP-NIAB II-2016 programme are: Master’s degree in any branch of Life Science (M.Sc., M.Tech., M.V.Sc., or M.Pharm).
Applications from candidates who have completed or are likely to complete the required courses in the current academic year but have fellowship will be accepted for RSPNIAB II-2016.
Candidates must have obtained the CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/ INSPIRE NET JRF/ UGC-RGNF or any other national research fellowship for 5 years for carrying out research at NIAB. Interview for this program will be held on 25 January 2017 from 2:30 pm at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), D. No. 1-121/1, 4th and 5th Floors, Axis Clinicals Building, Opp. to Cine Town, Miyapur, Hyderabad, Telangana, India PIN: 500049. Only those candidates will be allowed to appear for the NIAB RSP-II-2016 interview who produce proof of having cleared the fellowship exam with valid dates.
No TA/DA will be paid. NIAB reserves the right to accept / reject applications without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
