Reports to Scientist – SciGenom-Cochin
SciGenom Labs Pvt Ltd-Cochin is building reagent-grade proteins, using mammalian cell culture platform, for research purpose. We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in molecular cloning techniques and mammalian cell culture to be a part of this team and to contribute scientifically to make this program a success. This is an exciting opportunity to impact research in India by developing reagents and make available finished products for further biological endpoints.
Duties and responsibilities
• Needs to carry out molecular cloning, protein expression and purification of proteins
• Design experiments to validate purified proteins in new biochemical assays and participate in the development of new methods to enhance the research program
• Clearly maintain records of the entire projects involved
• Will have to be involved in mammalian cell culture
• Apart from the lab duties, the person is also expected to travel within India for business development activities
Qualifications and requirements
• M.Sc./M.Phil. in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology
• Hands on experience in basic biochemistry and molecular biology techniques and mammalian cell culture (optional)
• Proficiency in scientific writing and ability to present scientific data clearly and concisely
• Attention to detail and problem solving is critical for this position and candidate should have good professional record
• Proficiency in English language and ability for making precise business presentations in the specific filed both within the team and to clients is mandatory
