Lecture series on “Analytical approach to life sciences: NET, SET, GATE go…”

Association of Microbiologists of India, Pune Unit.

The Department of Microbiology, Savitribai Phule Pune University and Association of Microbiologists of India, Pune Unit will be jointly organizing a state level lectures series on “Analytical approach to life sciences: NET, SET, GATE go…” from 2 to 4 March 2017. This event is funded under the QIP grant of BCUD, Savitribai Phule Pune University. Applications are invited from M.Sc. and Research students aspiring to qualify various competitive exams to enter into research or lecturership.

 

Scope and Area to be covered:

 

Qualifying competitive exams such as NET, SET, GATE, JGEEBILS etc. is the gateway to entering into research or lecturership. A thematic lecture series will be organized under which different subject areas in life sciences will be covered. Lectures will be delivered by invited experts (3-4 experts per day) from various research institutes and universities.

 

Topics of the talk will be decided based upon the syllabus of NET, SET, GATE examinations held for Life Sciences.

 

Participants would be given sample questions to be solved in class after each lecture which will be followed by discussion with the speakers.

 

Dates of the Lecture series: 2 to 4 March 2017

 

Last Date of Application : 25 February 2017

 

Total Number of participants will be restricted to 200 only.

 

Registration Fees: Rs. 500/- per participant P
