ICGEB OMICS Biology RA/Lab Assistant Vacancies

Research Associate (RA-I)/Lab Assistant positions are available in the Omics of Algae Group and DBT-ICGEB Centre for Advanced Bioenergy Research. The positions are available initially for one year with further extensions based upon performance.

Title of the project: “Phenotypic Screening of Oleaginous Microalgae for Increased Lipid Productivity without Compromising Growth using Chemical Modulators for Cost-effective Biofuels” - Funded by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, GoI, New Delhi, India.

Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Pavan Jutur

Research Associate – I (RA: 1 No.)

Required qualifications and experience for RA-I:

1. Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Life Sciences or any other relevant field.

2. Experience of handling algal strains is mandatory, and knowledge in omics biology.

Lab Assistant (LA: 1 No.)

Code: DBT-LA

Required qualifications and experience for LA:

1. Minimum qualification required is Class XII.

2. Experience in handling routine laboratory procedures. Please note all these positions are temporary project positions whose duration is only for the tenure of the DBT-funded project.
