Junior Research Fellow- 01 

DBT Research Project : “Understanding biofilm modulation and catabolic gene expression by quorum sensing autoinducers in marine bacteria for degradation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon” 

Tenure of the Project : 03 years 

Tenure of the Assignment : 03 years (based on the performance) OR completion of the project, whichever is earlier 

Job Description : To carry out research work & experiments related to the project and to continue Ph.D. at NIT Rourkela on the topic of this project work. 

Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship : Rs.25,000/- P.M.+10% HRA for 1st and 2nd year; Rs. 28,000/- P.M+10% HRA for 3rd year 

Essential Qualifications and experience : M.Sc. in Life Science/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Zoology/ Genetics or related subjects with 60% of marks or 6.50 CGPA in 10 point scale with GATE or NET of UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DBT/ICAR (Lectureship/JRF) candidates OR M.Tech. in Biotechnology/ Env. Engg/ Chemical Engg. 

Desirable Qualifications/ Experiences : Research experience or knowledge in biofilm, microbial bioremediation, and environmental microbiology will be preferred.
