Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 

Project Title Metagenome derived nitroreductases for degradation of nitro compounds 

Tenure of the project 5 years (2014-2019) 

Essential Qualification 

1. First class in B.E/ B.Tech or Equivalent degree in Biotechnology/Industrial Biotechnology/ Biochemical Engineering/ Biomedical Engineering (With GATE/NET qualification) OR 

2. First class in ME/M.Tech/MS in Biotechnology/Industrial Biotechnology/ Biochemical Engineering/ Biomedical Engineering/Computational Biology/Biopharmaceutical technology 

Candidates appearing for exam of qualifying degree may be considered, but they should produce course completion/provisional degree certificate at the time of joining. 

Desired qualifications Prior knowledge/experience in Molecular cloning, Protein expression/Purification or Bioreactor operation 

Emoluments Consolidated Rs. 25,000/- per month

Job Requirements Screening industrial enzymes through functional metagenomics, Molecular cloning, Protein purification, Preparation of research reports
