NIBMG invites eligible candidates for a Walk-in-Interview for the position of Research Assistant in a WB-DBT funded project titled “Diabetic Foot Ulcer Microbiome: Its contribution in Biofilm formation and Wound Healing in Chronic Diabetic Foot Ulcers” on contractual basis initially for period of 1-year with possibility of extension depending on the performance and availability of funds.

M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Genetics/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology and related disciplines with at least 60% marks at both the Masters and Graduation Levels

Prior Research experience in the form of Master’s thesis/Summer training etc. involving PCR and DNA sequencing Experience in clinical sample collection from Hospital OPDs, Microbiological Culture, Host and Microbial DNA isolation, Primer Designing, PCR and DNA sequencing 

 Sample Collection from Hospital OPDs by co-ordinating with Clinicians and Patients 

 Processing of Biospecimens collected from Hospitals for Host and Microbial DNA, RNA isolation  Performing basic molecular biology laboratory works like PCR and DNA sequencing for both the host and microbial samples 

 Performing basic microbiological lab work including Antibiotic Assays, Gram Staining and FISH  Formulation of SOPs and maintaining GLP with proper documentations of day to day lab activities  Maintenance of Stock and Purchase Indenting 

Basic Remuneration: 14,000 15% HRA: 2100 

Medical Allowance: 300 Total: 16400 (Fixed)
