Walk-in-Interview 

The Director, ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, New Delhi wishes to recruit a temporary position of Senior Programme Officer (01- position, purely on contractual basis) under the DST-financed project “Mainstreaming Farmers’ Varieties in Himachal and Uttarakhand.” Details of the position are as follows: 

1. Name of the project: Mainstreaming Farmers’ Varieties in Himachal and Uttarakhand 

2. Educational Qualifications: 

 Essential: Masters degree in Botany/ Plant Genetic Resources/ Life Sciences/ Agriculture (Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Plant Physiology)/ Anthropology 

 Desirable: Practical knowledge of traditional hill farming / Plant genetic resources characterization and maintenance 

3. Emoluments: Rs. 20,000/- (fixed) 

4. Age limit: Less than 35 years of age on the date of advertisement with upper age limit relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/Others as per rule 

5. Duration of the post: Three years or co-terminus with the project. 

6. Place of posting: ICAR-NBPGR, Regional Station, Niglat, Bhowali (Nainital)-263132, Uttarakhand 

The said post is on purely temporary basis, co-terminus with the project. The candidate will not have any claim to be regularized at NBPGR/ICAR and committee’s decision will be final.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
