SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SRF) 

Title of the project: Whole Genome Sequencing and functional genomics of Golden silk moth Antheraea assamensis 

Tenure of the project: 15 months till 30th August 2018 (may be extended for one more year) 

I. Essential Qualifications for SRF: 

 First class [equivalent to 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates)] in M.Tech Bioinformatics 

Or First class [equivalent to 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates)] in B.Tech Bioinformatics with two years of experience in Bioinformatics applications Or 

First class [equivalent to 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates] in M.Sc. Bioinformatics with two years of experience in Bioinformatics applications 

 II. Desirable qualifications for SRF 

 Experience in wet lab experiments in Molecular Biology is preferred

 First class (55% for SC/ST candidates) in SSLC/PUC/Degree  

III. Emoluments: 

1. SRF: Rs.14000/- per month plus HRA as applicable under CSB regulations Eligible candidates may appear for a Walk-in-Interview at the time and venue given below with biodata, brief note on the project work carried out during M.Sc. / B Tech/ M Tech program; a passport size photograph, originals and one copy each of educational qualifications from SSLC, PUC/Higher secondary, BSc, MSc, B.Tech, M.Tech, etc proof of date of birth, NOC from present employer (if you are employed), research experience certificate and caste certificate for SC/ST candidates, along with valid e-mail Id and telephone/mobile numbers and contact details. 

Important points: 

1. Date of walk-in-interview: 23 rd May 2017 
2. Time: 9.30 AM (Candidates should reach the venue by 9 AM for verification of documents). 
3. Entry of candidates will be permitted only till 12 Noon. 
4. Venue: SERIBIOTECH RESEARCH LABORATORY, OFF SARJAPURA ROAD, KODATHI, CARMELARAM.P.O; BANGALORE-560035, KARNATAKA. (Kodathi silk farm, Land Mark: NEAR HARVEST INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, approximately 2.5 km from the Kodathi gate Bus stop on Sarjapura road) 
5. Upper age limit: 28 years as on 01/5/2017 (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and women candidates). 
6. No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview. 
7. The above mentioned position is purely temporary on contractual basis and coterminus with the project. Further claim for any post will not be entertained thereafter.
