analysis. We are hiring bioinformatics analyst to join our team in Bangalore.
Job Description
Job
responsibilities include but not restricted to:
·
Advanced data mining bioinformatics
and/or systems biology with a background in omics data
·
Proven ability to execute collaborative
research projects in a range of computational biomedical areas
·
Process, analyze and interpret high
volumes of data, particularly Next Generation Sequencing, as part of internal
and external scientific studies
·
Technical skills relevant to
bioinformatics research (e.g., one or more of Perl, Python, R and experience in
statistical analysis and/or data mining)
·
Understand computational pipelines,
algorithms and tools to analyze NGS platforms
·
A knowledge of publicly available omics
resources like TCGA, ICGC, NCBI and ability to handle various multi-omics
datasets would be a plus
Desired
experience and expertise:
M.Sc./
M.Tech. from reputed institute in the area of computer science/ informatics/Computational
Genomics/Computation Biology/Bioinformatics
OR
Master’s
degree in life sciences with
·
Knowledge of genomics and basics of
molecular biology
·
Good expertise in Unix/Linux operating
systems and shell scripting
·
Hands on experience in Next-Generation
sequencing data analysis is a plus
You
