A ‘walk-in-interview’ will be held on 08-01-2018 at 11.00 AM for one position of ‘Project Fellow’
and one position of ‘Project Assistant’ at ICAR-Directorate of Weed Research, Jabalpur (MP) under the
contract research scheme “Evaluation of selection pressure on Cyperus difformis and Echinochloa crusgalli
in rice against ALS inhibitor herbicides in the Chhattisgarh and Kerala” funded. The post is
sanctioned upto March 2019.
Emoluments For Project Fellow: Rs. 22000 per month fixed (No other allowances)
For Project Assistant: Rs. 15000 Fixed (No other allowances)
Essential
qualifications
For Project Fellow: M.Sc. Biotechnology
For Project Assistant: B.Sc. (Ag)
Desirable
qualifications
For Project Fellow: Experience in molecular diversity and gene expression analysis
For Project Assistant: Experience in survey and plant sample collection
Note: For both the positions, candidates must be willing to travel independently in
Kerala and Chhattisgarh and other places as and when required.
Age limit Maximum age 35 years as on date of interview. Age relaxation allowed will be 5
years for SC/ST/woman candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates
The above posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis. The selected candidate will
have no right/claim for regular appointment at this Directorate. Interested candidates are required to
appear for the ‘walk-in-interview’ on the date and time specified above at this Directorate along with
their application giving full BIO-DATA, one set photocopies of certificates and testimonials and one
passport size photograph. Original certificates need to be produced at the time of interview for
verification. No TA/DA will be provided for interview.
