Postdoctoral Fellow position in Biomaterials and Drug Delivery
Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellow position in Biomaterials and Drug Delivery for a research project funded by Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar.
Job Description: The candidate will be required to set up the experiments for the development and characterizations (Physicochemical and biological evaluation) of lipid- based and polymeric drug delivery platforms (Nanoparticles, microparticles, hydrogels, and composites).
Expertise in formulation development, self-assembly, chemical synthesis, cell-culture, and microbiology will be preferred.
Prior experience in the development of animal model for arthritis and bone implant infection is also preferred.
He/she will also have the opportunity to develop advanced laboratory skills (Lipid-polymer hybrid biomaterials, writing grant proposal, working inter IITs, and foreign visits on collaborations). The candidate should be a highly motivated, continuous learner who is able to work independently and help in setting-up the lab.
Eligibility: PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Material Sciences, Life Sciences, Nanotechnology, etc. allied subject areas from reputed institutes with good scientific publication record. Candidates who have submitted their thesis and can join us immediately are equally eligible for the position.
Duration: Initial appointment is for 1 year, extendable up to 1 more year based on performance
Remuneration: 50,000 INR per month + 10,000 HRA (No HRA will be provided if the accommodation on campus is availed)
