CSIR – National Institute of Oceanography, a constituent national laboratory of Council of Scientific &
Industrial Research Institute (CSIR), invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of the
following project staff, purely on a temporary contractual basis to carry out research work on the R&D
project and to be engaged in NIO Regional Centre Kochi.

M.Sc Zoology / Marine
Biology / Marine Sciences
Desirable Qualification
& Job Requirement
Work experience in
plankton ecological
studies and field trips in
sea.
Ecological and growth
experimental studies on
plankton community
(both phytoplankton and
zooplankton) in the
nearshore waters of the
southwest coast of India.
Frequent participation in
cruises and field trips in
the Arabian Sea and the
Bay of Bengal to collect
environmental data and
biological samples.
