Applications are invited for the temporary position of one Research Associate under ICAR sponsored project entitled “Genetic Modification to Improve Biological Nitrogen Fixation for augmenting nitrogen needs of Cereals (Under Incentivizing Agricultural Research scheme). Engagement will be initially for six months, but extendable depending upon the continuation of the project by ICARand the performance of the selected candidates.The posts are temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Rs 54,000/- per month + HRA

Qualifications

(a)  Essential

Ph.D. in Biotechnology/ Plant Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Microbiology or M. Sc. in Biotechnology/ Plant Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Microbiology with first division or 60% marks 3 year research experience and 1 research paper in SCI/NAAS rated (≥4) journal

(b)  Desirable

Research experience in the use of molecular biology (gene cloning, expression, knock-out construction etc) tools with nitrogen fixing bacteria

Upper Age Limit

40 years (Relaxation as per ICAR guidelines)
