Applications are invited for the engagement of Senior Research Fellow under the
NMPB project entitled “Bioactivity guided fractionation and isolation of bioactive
compounds from Thespesia populnea medicinal plant with anticancer potential against
triple negative breast cancer”
Essential:
1. Post graduate degree in Basic science or Graduate /Post graduate degree in professional
course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility tests - CSIR-UGC NET
including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE
b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central
Government Departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE,
DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
2. The candidate should have two years of research experience
Desirable:
1. The candidates having evidence of experience relevant to the project (isolation and
identification of phytocompounds, cell culture works, molecular biology works etc.)
will be given preference
2. Research publications in UGC/SCI journals with NAAS rating
3. Knowledge in computer applications, data organization/ management/ report
preparation/ writing, power point presentation etc.
Age Limit: Below 35 years as on last date of application. Age relaxation will be given as per
the Govt. of India norms.
Emoluments: 28,000/- . Revised emoluments of Rs. 35000/- will be provided as and when
released from the funding agency.
(N.B.: The above revised emoluments are subject to eligibility as laid out in Office
Memorandum Z. 18017/187/CSS/R&D/13/2019-20-NMPB-IV-A dt. 24/7/2020, issued by
National Medicinal Plants Board, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India. Candidates not
meeting these requirements will not be eligible for revised emoluments).
Period of appointment: 10 months
Selection process:
Suitably qualified candidates may send applications in the prescribed format (Annexure- I)
with a photograph, a copy of full resume indicating the percentage of marks obtained and self
attested photocopies of credentials and experience to reach the undersigned on or before
November 20, 2022.
