Applications are invited for the position of a JRF on a DBT Builder-funded project
at IISER Kolkata. The candidate will operate at the Common Flow Cytometry Facility at
the Department of Biological Sciences, IISER Kolkata.
Scope: The candidate will be expected to independently manage the sorter which would
involve routine operation, data analysis, research project consultation, and training of users.
Duration: 3 months – which could be extended upto 3 years based on satisfactory
performance.

Fellowship: As per DBT norms and JRF guidelines
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Life Sciences/ Chemistry /Physics or M.Tech with
training in Biotech. Candidate must have qualified NET or GATE or any similar national
level examination.
Desirable: Practical experience in different areas of biological sciences and working
knowledge of flow cytometers and sorters will be preferred.
