Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the below-mentioned post on contract basis for Cadila Pharma funded project ‘Testing of Blood samples for rabies antibodies by RFFIT Test’ under Dr.Reeta S. Mani, Professor and Head, Department of Neurovirology & Principal Investigator.
Name of the Post Technical Officer
Essential Qualifications MSc in Medical/Clinical Microbiology or Medical/Clinical Virology
Experience Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience of
1. Working in the area of Infectious diseases
2. Maintenance and propagation of cell lines and virus stocks
3. Performing laboratory assays like ELISA, real time PCR
4. NGS techniques for sequencing of viruses and other pathogens
Maximum age limit 35 years
Emoluments Rs.35,000/- (consolidated) per month
Job Description Co-ordination for transport of samples
Documentation, maintenance of data and quality assurance
Maintenance and propagation of cell lines and virus stocks
Perform RFFIT assay (rapid fluorescent focus inhibition test) for rabies
antibodies
Any other work assigned by the Principal Investigator
Duration of the post 3 years
Initial appointment will be made for a period of 12 months, which will be extended every 12 months for three years depending upon the performance of the candidate.
