Advertisement for a JRF Position in DST- SERB funded project
Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior
Research Fellow for the project entitled "Promoter editing of autophagy genes Slatg12 and
Slatg13 in tomato for enhanced tolerance to Septoria leaf spot disease using CRISPR/Cas9
approach" under SERB, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India
scheme.
Fellowship period : Three (3) years
Fellowship : 31,000/- + 24% HRA per month (I & II years) and
35,000/- + 24% HRA per month for the third year.
Eligibility : M.Sc. in Botany/Plant Biology and Biotechnology/Biotechnology/Plant
Science (with valid NET or GATE score) with consistently good
academic record and a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA
in the Master’s degree.
Desirable : Hands on experience in Plant Molecular Biology related techniques.
Age limit : Must not be over 28 years as on 04th August, 2023 (Relaxation of 5
years for SC/ST and PH candidates as per the norms/orders of GOI).
