Advertisement for the position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) under
the ICMR-funded project at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology
Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Project
Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) in the research project funded by ICMR, Government of
India, at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
Title of the Research Project: Noninvasive and in situ forming peptide-polymer hydrogel
containing CPP decorated nanoparticles/photoresponsive agents with crystallin aggregates
disaggregating propensity for potential cataract therapy
Nature of the Project: The computational & bio-informatic part of the project will be conducted in strong
collaboration with the experimental counterparts.

Name of the position available: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
Essential: First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG Degrees
(Computational Biology/Chemistry/Physical Chemistry/Bio-Sciences/Bioinformatics) and also
qualified in national level eligibility tests (e.g. NET/GATE/GPT/DST INSPIRE)
Desirable Experience: Research experience in Computational Biology/Chemistry and
Bioinformatics, Molecular Dynamics Simulations, programming knowledge in Phyton, and
experience in handling big data and Data Analysis, Density Functional Theory (DFT)
Age limit: Must not be over 35 years as of 25.05.2025. Which is relaxable for specific reserved
categories as per the rules of the Government of India.
Fellowship: Rs. 56,000/- pm + HRA as applicable
Last date of receipt of application: 25.05.2025
Mode of Interview: Hybrid mode (Online/Offline)
Duration: Initially six months and may be extended till the project end (i.e. 11.02.2028) based on
the candidate's performance and availability of funds.
