WALK-IN- INTERVIEW / WRITTEN TEST FOR PROJECT HUMAN RESOURCE POSITION (TEMPORARY) 

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for project human resource positions under the project entitled “Development and validation of CRISPR-Cas integrated Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification diagnostic test of the rapid detection of antibiotic – resistant Klebsiella Pneumoniae” at ICMR-NIIRNCD, Jodhpur. 

Applications will be received from the individuals by hand on the date of Walk-ininterview / written test as mentioned below. 1. Name of the Position Project Research Scientist – II (Non-Medical) 

Essential Qualifications 

i. Post Graduate Degree in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biomedical Sciences / Genetics / Life Sciences with three years post-qualification experience in the relevant subject OR

ii. Post Graduate Degree in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biomedical Sciences / Genetics / Life Sciences with PhD in the relevant subject. 

Desired Qualifications 

➢ Experience of working in Klebsiella pneumoniae diagnostics and CRISPR-Cas technology for diagnostics. 

➢ Hands-on experience with antimicrobial resistance studies, especially in Klebsiella pneumoniae and other Gram-negative bacteria, and experience in bacterial resistance profiling. 

➢ Knowledge of diagnostic platform development, particularly in relation to point-ofcare testing or low-cost diagnostic systems. 

➢ Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (e.g., nucleic acid extraction, qPCR, multiplex PCR, LAMP, gel electrophoresis, sequencing, etc.) and bioinformatics tools for genome sequence analysis and diagnostics. 

➢ Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot experimental issues, and project management skills 

Age Not exceeding 40 years on the date of the walk-in interview. 

Remuneration Rs. 67,000/- + HRA. per month fixed without any other allowances. 

Tenure Initially for up to one year (extendable as per norms). However, the position is terminus at any point in time. 

Place of work ICMR-NIIRNCD, Jodhpur or anywhere in India based on the requirement of the project.

3. Name of the Position Project Technical Support – III 

No. of vacancies 01 Position (SC) 

Essential Qualifications 

i. Graduate degree with Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biomedical Sciences / Genetics / Life Sciences with 3 years post-qualification experience. OR 

ii. Postgraduate in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biomedical Sciences/Genetics/ Life Sciences 

Desired Qualifications 

➢ Experience in bacterial culture techniques and antimicrobial susceptibility testing, including working with Klebsiella pneumoniae and other pathogenic bacteria. 

➢ Experience in molecular biology laboratory techniques (e.g., PCR, LAMP, DNA/RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis etc.). 

➢ Prior involvement in diagnostic research projects related to infectious diseases and/or antimicrobial resistance. Age Not exceeding 35 years on the date of the walk-in interview.
