Recruitment for the post of “Project Associate-I” under TST - funded project
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati is a premier autonomous
Institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for the promotion of
high-quality science education and research in the country.
The institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position purely on a
contract basis:

Description
Bioacoustics to measure the ecological impacts of Lantana
camara and assess its restoration outcomes.

Minimum
Qualifications
Essential:
Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural science/
Agricultural Sciences/ Master’s Degree in Natural or
Agricultural Sciences/BVSc/ BPharm/ Bachelor’s Degree
in Engineering or Technology or Medicine or from a
recognized university or equivalent.
Desirable:
● Candidates with a valid 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler driving
license and experience.
● Experience conducting fieldwork for over one year.
● Experience with bird song and call identification
● Experience with recording bird songs and analysis.
● Ability and experience in handling data, bird acoustic data
and acoustic equipment.
● Experience in analysis in Raven Pro is desirable
Fellowship
I. Rs. 37,000/- + 9% HRA per month (Consolidated) based on
valid CSIR / UGC-JRF / NET / GATE / Qualified National
Level Test conducted by Central Govt. Depts. and their
agencies.
II. Rs. 30,000/- + 9% HRA for others who do not fall under (I)
above.
Age Not more than 50 years as on the closing date of the
advertisement.
Tenure The initial offer will be for ten months and renewable subject to
satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and co
terminus with the project.
