BRIC-CDFD: BRIC-CDFD (Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council - Centre for
DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics) is a premier, autonomous Indian research institute in
Hyderabad, under the Department of Biotechnology, focusing on cutting-edge life sciences
research, DNA-based diagnostics, and forensics.
DRILS: Dr Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences (DRILS) is a not-for-profit Research Institute
with a mission to be the preferred research partner to the pharma and life sciences industry.
DRILS focuses on original research and advancement of relevant skills, with emphasis on
solution-oriented interdisciplinary research for solving unmet needs and for process
innovation. The Institute has been set up on a public-private partnership model by Dr Reddy’s
Laboratories, the Government of Telangana, and the University of Hyderabad, and is governed
by a Board of Directors comprising eminent scientists and visionaries.
BRIC-CDFD and DRILS invite applications for a joint Post-Doctoral position to contribute to
our collaborative cutting-edge research initiatives.
Project: Translational potential of small molecules/herbal derivatives as therapeutics to
regulate Inflammation, Diabetes, Neurodegeneration and Obesity in vivo.
We are developing a breakthrough herbal therapeutic, "Sorvo roga hara," that targets the shared
molecular triggers of inflammation, diabetes, neurodegeneration, and obesity. After
successfully identifying its mechanism in lab and computer models, we are now advancing to
in vivo testing to prove its efficacy as an all-in-one treatment.
Position : Post-doctoral Researcher
Age Limit: 40 years
Tenure: 2 years
Emoluments: ₹ 70000/- per month consolidated

Essential Qualifications $:
PhD with a post-doctoral experience of 0-2 years. Applicants should have a PhD in Human
Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology or a related discipline in Life Sciences.
Desirable Qualifications:
Candidate with strong experience in handling animals, like mouse or rat to determine
anti-tumor, anti-diabetes and/or anti-obesity potential will be preferred. He/she should
have experience in cell biology, in-vitro assay development, and in-vivo
experimentation. Candidates having prior experience in these areas will be preferred.
Main responsibilities include working with a senior investigator on a defined project(s).
Work closely with JRFs and PhD students of the senior investigator and help the senior
investigator in the lab administration.
Interact with other faculty/scientists and participate in collaborative projects.
The applicant should be able to work independently and in team(s).
