NIPB Delhi Plant Breeding/Cytogenetics Project Opening

Applications from Indian nationals are invited for temporary engagement under the following project. Engagement shall be purely on contractual basis. 

Title of the Project Deciphering the genetic and molecular mapping of wide compatibility trait using Brassica rapa var, yellow sarson, “NRCPB Rapa 8” genotype for accelerating the pre breeding program in the rapeseed mustard. 

Funding Agency DBT 

Duration of the Tenure Upto 24.04.2027 or termination of project, whichever is earlier 

Post Project Associate-I 

No. of Post One 

Emoluments Fixed per month (a) Rs. 31000/- + 24 % HRA (b) Rs.25000/-+24% HRA 

Essential Qualifications Post Graduate degree in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/ Agricultural Science/ Genetics and Plant Breeding or Graduate/Post Graduate degree in professional courses from a recognized university or equivalent described through any norms given in DST OM No. SR/S9/Z-05/2019 and as per OM ANRF/OM/N-01/2024. 

The emoluments will be 
(a) for candidates selected through the medium of following. 1. CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or 2. A selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Govt. departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc 
Emoluments 
(b) will be applicable for the candidates who do not fall under the above condition. 

Desirable Qualifications Experience in genetics and plant breeding/ cytogenetics/ molecular biology tools/ Bioinformatics tools and techniques/mapping population and QTL mapping/ molecular biology
