Applications from Eligible candidates are invited for temporary positions of Project Assistant Level I & Level II as per the allocation of funds by funding agency, for the sponsored projects tenable at IITR.
(Level -II) 

1. Project No. GAP-221 (1 Post) @ Rs. 8000/-p.m. subject to the approval of Funding agency.
Project Title: Role of Micro RNAs in neuronal differentiation and regulation of their expression by known developmental neuro toxins.
Qualification: M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology.
Job Requirement: To carry out studies on regulation and role of micro RNAs in neuronal differentiations.
Upper age limit: up to 28 years as on date of Advertisement.
Duration of Project: Three years
2. Project No. GAP-219 (1 Post) @ Rs. 12000/-p.m.
Project Title: Surveillance and molecular mechanism of toxicity of patulin, a commonly encountered mycotoxin.
Qualification: Ist class M.Sc. (Biochemistry/ Biotechnology /Bioscience/Toxicology).
Desirable: Preference will be given to NET (LS) qualified.
Job requirement: To study the molecular mechanism of toxicity of Mycotoxin.
Upper age limit: up to 28 years as on date of Advertisement.
Duration of Project: Three years
(Level -I)

3. Project No. NWP-017 (1 Post) @ Rs. 7000/-p.m.
Project Title: Environmental Contaminent. New screening technology & effect on human health.
Qualification: B.Sc.
Job Requirement: Data entry, analysis and presentation, Knowledge of Word processing and Lab. Help.
Upper age limit: up to 28 years as on date of Advertisement.
Duration of Project: One Year
4. Project No. GAP-206 (1 Post) @ Rs. 8000/-p.m.
Project Title: Evaluation of Chemo preventive potential of C-Phycocyanin in mouse skin tumorigenesis and its effects on cell cycle regulators and apoptosis.
Qualification: B.Sc., Biology Group
Experience: Histology/Histopathology work
Job Requirement: Handling the animals(mice) and processing the Tissue for histopathologcal studies.
Upper age limit: up to 25 years as on date of Advertisement.
Duration of Project: One Year
Interested candidates for Level I & Level II post must register through On-Line (details are available at our website www.iitrindia.or/emp.html) upto 5.00 p.m. of 15-1-2010. Only the applications of the registered candidates will be included in the screening. The screened candidates will be required to be present for interview with the proof of On-line registration slip along with other original documents and a passport size photograph. The online registration will start at 10 a.m. on 1-1-2010. Other terms and conditions are also available on our said website.

Terms & Conditions: 

1. Age relaxable will be granted upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and 3 years OBC categories. Minimum qualification for P.A. Level II and above is 55% and for P.A. Level I is 50%, the SC/ST candidates will be allowed 5% relaxation in qualifications.

2. The positions are purely temporary on contract basis and co-terminus with the sponsored projects. Based on the performance of the candidates in the Interview, a panel of recommended candidates will be formed which shall be utilized as and when the requirement arises in the respective field/area in the sponsored project. Further, the above stipends are tentative and the same will be finally decided based in the emoluments in the sponsored project.

3. Applicant applied to Project Assistant will not allowed to register for Ph.D.
4. Tentative marks sheets/certificates and results awaited will not be considered.
5. Candidates who strictly fulfill the eligibility/experience and possess the degree/mark sheet in the aforesaid subjects only should apply for the positions. Mere fulfilling minimum qualification will not entail any right for consideration.
6. NO TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interview.
7. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as disqualification for the position.
8. The date of interview will be informed in writings to the eligible candidates after screening of the application.
9. Candidates have the option to interact with committee in Hindi.
