Essential: Applicants should have Ph.D. degree in a relevant field (e,g., Materials science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology or Bioengineering) OR
1st class M.Tech/M.Sc. or equivalent with at least 2 years experience
Desirable: experience in at least one of the following areas:
1) stem cell culture maintenance
2) in vitro analysis of cell-biomaterial interactions
3) quantitative measurements of stem cell differentiation
4) use of molecular perturbations to disrupt cell receptor - ligand interactions or signal transduction pathways
5) Gene Delivery
DST Project "Scaffold-based control of Chondrocyte Phenotype: Towards Engineering of Intervertebral Disk Tissue" (RP02225) (Duration up to 28.04.2012)

SRF
Rs.14,000/- p.m. + 30% HRA (as per rules)
Essential: 1st class M.Tech. or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g. Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology or Bioengineering) OR
1st class M.Sc. or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g. Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Biotech or Bioengineering) with 2 years experience
Desirable: experience in at least one of the following areas:
1) Polymer characterization
2) Synthetic organic chemistry
3) Microfabrication
4) fluid dynamics
5) Animal cell culture
6) Cell-biomaterial interactions
7) RT-PCR, immuno-histology
8) Confocal microscopic imaging
Proficiency In English, both written and verbal, and demonstrated leadership skills are required. The successful candidates will join a multidisciplinary research group that studies silk protein-based biomaterials, tissue engineering, Bioreactor designing.
