1. DBT funded Program Support Project entitled: Fundamental Molecular Investigations in Biotechnology

Position: Research Scientist (Two)
Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Bio-Engineering.
Duration and Emoluments: Appointment initially for one year. Further extension subject to progress reviewed and availability of fund in the above mentioned project. Rs 10000-325-15200 + HRA @15% + MA @ Rs 500. In addition, Dearness Pay, Dearness Allowance, Special Compensatory allowance will be admissible.
Age: Below 35 years
Job Description: The research scientist shall oversee the operation and maintenance of high end equipments such as MALDI/TOF, HPLC, CD spectrometer, Analytical and general ultracentrifuge, Surface plasmon resonance (SPR)-based spectroscope, Microarray, etc. Responsibilities of the scientist would involve routine maintenance of all the high end equipments and their accessories including the paper works and communications involved therein. The scientist will also be responsible for training students and other users of the equipments, assist in data collection and data processing as well as routine project related works.
Candidates with good track records and experience in managing laboratories and/or core facilities, strong interpersonal skills are encouraged to apply. Candidates with experience in handling high end analytical instruments will be given preference.

1. Fulfilling minimum essential qualifications does not guarantee selection to the posts
2. Actual screening and selection of scientists will be based on the academic credential of applicants and requirements of the project.
3. The above position is purely on temporary basis.
5. The continuation of the tenure of Research Scientist will depend upon the progress reviewed and availability of fund in the project.
6. No TA, DA will be paid to attend the walk-in-interview.

2. DBT funded Project entitled: Combination therapy using suicide genes and recombinant antibody

Position: Junior Research Fellow (Two)
Minimum Qualification: M. Sc. in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Microbiology/related fields in Life Sciences or ME/ MTech in Biotechnology. Applicants having hands-on experience in Molecular Biology/Cell Biology/Phage Display/ Computational Biology will be preferred.
Duration and Emoluments: 1 year initially. May be extended, subject to progress reviewed after initial period of appointment. 1st & 2nd year: @12,000j- p. m. + 15% HRA + Rs. 500j- MA; 3rd year onwards: @14,000j- p. m. + 15% HRA + Rs. 500/- MA (As per Institute nule).
