DBT Sponsored Junior Research Fellow in Zebrafish Tyrosine Kinase

Junior Research Fellowship
DBT funded research project on “Embryonic Zebrafish as a model system to study the expression and role of breast tumour kinase (BRK/PTK6)”
Pay: Rs. 15600/- (Fixed) per month inclusive of all.
Duration: Three years.
Responsibilities:
1) Maintenance and breeding of zebrafish.
2) Isolation and characterization of BRK mRNA and proteins from developing zebrafish embryos.
3) Knock-down and overexpression of BRK by microinjection in zebrafish embryos.
4) Data recording, analysis, presentation and manuscript writing.
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Microbiology / Medical Microbiology / Biotechnology or any other branch of Life Sciences / M. tech in Biotechnology from a recognized university / institute with a consistent first class academic record above 60%. Should be willing to learn, able to multi-task and must possess basic computational skills.
Preferable: Relevant research experience as evident from thesis / dissertation/project work/ relevant practical exposure.
Experience: 0-1 years
