BCIL Biotech Industrial Training Prpgramme (BITP) 2010-11
FOR BIOTECHNOLOGY STUDENTS FROM NORTH EASTERN STATES (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura, Nagaland, Sikkim)
DEPARTMENT OF BIOTECHNOLOGY (DBT) invites applications from students in biotechnology for practical training in biotech companies for a period of six months. Stipend of Rs.8000/- p.m. will be paid to selected candidates. The programme is being implemented by BIOTECH CONSORTIUM INDIA LIMITED (BCll). The objective of BITP is to provide industrial exposure to students to improve job prospects and to help biotech industry to identify prospective manpower.
Eligibility. Students with BTech/BE/MSc/MTech/MVSc in Biotechnology, Bio informatics from recognized universities in North Eastern States or with domicile of North Eastern States.

The application form is available at our website www.bcil.nic.in. A demand draft of Rs.250/in favour of "Biotech Consortium India Limited, New Delhi" towards non-refundable application fee along with filled in application form is to be sent to: Mr. Manoj Gupta, Deputy Manager, Biotech Consortium India Limited, 5th Floor, Anuvrat Bhawan, 210, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, New Delhi 110002, email: info.bcil@nic.in, by 31 st October 2010. Please write your Name, date of birth and mobile no. on the reverse side of demand draft. Attested copy of proof of domicile of North Eastern State and degree/final marks sheet is to be attached with application form. Application does not guarantee training under BITP.
No queries will be entertained. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Interview will be held at anyone location only in the region. Decision of the Selection Committee will be fina/. Training does not ensure permanent placement. Candidates interested in higher studies and research need not apply. Candidates will be required to join anywhere in India. Applications for change of location will not be entertained.
