Project Assistant II/III – 3 Posts

Title of the Project : Multi-agent therapy of Cancer: A Systems Biology Approach

Educational Qualifications/Experience

For PA-II: MSc Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Physics or Mathematics with 55% marks or B Tech/ BE Chemical/ Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology or Bioinformatics with 55% marks.

For PA-III: As above, with two years documented relevant experience

Desirable experience

For Post 1: Familiarity with programming in Matlab or Fortran. Knowledge of biological signal transduction pathways, and basic molecular and cell biology. Formal coursework in at least one programming language and Knowledge of ordinary differential equations highly desirable

For Post 2: Knowledge of statistics. Familiarity with Matlab or R. Knowledge of mammalian biochemistry. Formal coursework in at least one programming language is highly desirable

Job requirement Simulation of biological pathways. Study of specific pathways. Programming in Matlab and Fortran to simulate pathways

Age limit* 28 for PA-II, 30 for PA-III

Consolidated fixed emoluments per month Rs 12000 (PA-II) / Rs 14000 (PA-III)

The prescribed educational qualifications are a bare minimum and merely possessing of same will not entitle candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received in response to this Notice of engagement is large, it may not be convenient or possible to interview all the candidates. Based on the recommendation of the Screening Committee, the Project Leader may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to reasonable limits after taking into consideration qualifications and experience over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed in the Notice. Therefore, it will be in the interest of the candidates, to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field at the time of applying.
