DBT Network project ‘Identification of candidate genes for enhanced water use efficiency in rice through activation tagging (2010–2015)’
The project is a challenging one with unlimited opportunities for the right candidates and the work forms a major component of Functional Genomics in the most important cereal crop across the world – Rice. The candidates are expected to develop activation tagged rice populations and characterize novel genes in an Indica type rice variety.
Junior Research Fellow
First class M.Sc. degree in Plant Sciences or Biotechnology with NET qualification. Research experience in genetic transformation of crops and molecular biology would be an added qualification.
Fellowship: Rs 16,000 + HRA as per rules per month.
Project Assistant
First class M.Sc. degree in Plant Sciences or Biotechnology. Research experience in genetic transformation of crops and molecular biology would be an added qualification. Remuneration: Rs 8000 fixed per month.
