Walk-in-Interview on Monday, August 03, 2026 from 11:00 am onwards
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Project JRF in
the MK-BHAN Fellowship project entitled “Identifying and exploiting novel physiological attributes and underlying
genetic regulation of the photosynthetically efficient wild rice for improving crop performance under abiotic stress
(File No. HRD-16016/24/2025- HRD-DBT E-21387)” under the supervision of Dr. Jayendra Pandey, MK-BHAN
Fellow, BRIC-NIPGR.
The details of the position are as follows:
Junior Research Fellow (one post):
Emoluments ₹37,000/- per month plus 27% HRA, as sanctioned in the
project.
Qualification: Candidates having an M.Sc./M. Tech degree (with minimum 60% marks) in Life Sciences/Plant
Sciences/Agriculture/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology or equivalent, and who fulfil the eligibility criteria of
DSTOM No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022, dated June 26, 2023, are eligible to apply.
Desirable: Candidate should have completed their M.Sc. dissertation related to Plant Sciences/Plant Molecular
Biology/Plant Biotechnology.
Candidates who are University rank holders and have at least one first-author
publication will be given preference.
Candidates with prior work experience in plant physiology, plant molecular
biology, and/or plant biotechnology and additional computational skills would be preferred.
The above position is completely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
The fellowship amount for the above
position is as per DBT norms and as sanctioned in the project. The initial appointment for the above post will be
for one year or until the tenability of the project, whichever is earlier, and the tenure of the post may be
curtailed/extended based on the assessment of the candidate's performance and at the discretion of the Competent
Authority.
BRIC-NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the
qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per the Government of India norms.
The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month's notice by either side.
The applicants will
have no claim, implicit or explicit, for consideration against any regular position of BRIC-NIPGR.
Eligible candidates may appear for a walk-in interview at BRIC-National Institute of Plant Genome
Research, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067 on Monday, Aug 03, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. onwards, along
with the duly filled-in application form in the prescribed format. The duly filled application form, along with
self-attested copies of the date-of- birth, educational & experience certificates, must be submitted at the time of
registration at BRIC-NIPGR from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Aug 03, 2026.
Any candidate reporting after 11:00
a.m. will not be entertained for the walk-in interview. Candidates must ascertain eligibility before applying, as
ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All the candidates are requested to appear for the interview with a
complete application form in the given format and original degree/experience certificates and transcripts for
verification. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of
the candidate(s).
Note: Incomplete applications and those in the wrong format will be summarily rejected.
No TA/DA will be paid
for attending the walk-in interview.
